Polaroid Giveaway!

This is a real photograph, from the days before retouching and all those wonderful things that make celebrities look like sticks nowadays. It was taken by Philippe Halsman in 1948. It was done to make surrealism “real.” And it did it amazingly.
…But this photo was retouched (And cropped). The original has wires in it suspending the chairs. Back in the days of silver gelatin, you could spot and paint, i.e. retouch your images just as much as you could today with Photoshop.

I scrolled through all of my Xbox Achievements and discovered that my first was, “Needs More Umlauts,” from Rock Band 2 on September 26th, 2009. It was worth 10 points.
